A giant circular banner will grace the centre of the Stadium of Light’s pitch before Barclays Premier League games this season as Sunderland Football Club continues to back the bid to bring the 2018 World Cup to England and the North East.

The 18 metre banner, bearing the Sunderland 2018 logo, will be in place as turnstiles open and will remain on the pitch throughout the players’ pre-match warm-up, until just before kick off.
